Research Assistant (Marine Science/Aquatic Ecology) job in Ntu Main Campus, Singapore at Nanyang Technological University

A Research Assistant position is currently available in the Asian School of the Environment, NTU. This role involves initiating and managing fish feeding experiments for the research project, “Using Black Soldier Flies in Food Waste Management and Sustainable Food Production in Urban Systems’’.

Job Responsibilities

• Liase with industry partners to help set up fish feeding trials

• Carry out administrative work associated with research project

• Assist industry partners to implement and manage fish feeding trials of research project

• Analyze results of fish feeding trials

• Write reports and present findings to the project group at regular intervals

• Participate in lab group activities, e.g., lab meetings

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with Honours research project in marine science or aquatic ecology

• Strong proficiencies in R or Python

• Previous experience in animal experiments highly desirable

• Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment

• Strong work ethics and research integrity

• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, particularly communication

• Familiarity with open data science tools e.g. Github is desirable
