1. Role Description

Logistics Managers are professionals who are responsible for ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout their organization. They organize, store and monitor the distribution of goods to ensure items and resources are shipped to their appropriate destinations.

2. Specific Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services

• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle

• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers

• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

• Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments

• Resolve any arising problems or complaints

• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

3. Competencies

• Able to do supervision and acquire surveillance skills

• Develop standards of safety for all vehicles

• Has great management of inventory

• Able to analyse information and act accordingly in a fast paced work

• Excellent communicating skills with leadership qualities
